Live Stickers are great — until your dad tries to send one to Larry at work. Or his Android-using bowling buddies.

Drag one out of Messages and you get a .heics file that you can send to your iPhone-using friends, but legacy devices and busted enterprise chat platforms can't display them. Your grandma can't view them on her Dell PC. StickerGIF is a purpose-built, native solution to that one specific problem.

They may be clunky, but animated GIFs are the universal language of the internet. They play on every phone, every desktop, every chat app, every browser. StickerGIF bridges that gap.

How it works

Drag a Live Sticker onto StickerGIF (the dock icon, a window, or Open With).
It becomes an animated GIF — original frame timing preserved — and lands on your clipboard as both image data and a file.
Paste it anywhere: Slack, Discord, Mail, Notes, a web form, Finder. Send it to a friend on Android. Drop it in a chat on Windows. GIFs work everywhere.

But uh, not a whole lot more... StickerGIF is pretty much a one-trick pony — does what it says on the tin. Still:

Any image in

A real sticker is converted to a GIF; anything already an image is copied as-is — an animated GIF stays animated, nothing re-encoded.

Thanks for trying my app! My dad used to bug me repeatedly to convert his stickers to GIFs, which really is why I made this app. Now he can do it himself!

But... my dad also sends stickers to us, his kids. Way too many, tbh. Except for one of my brothers, who (for some reason) uses an old Pixel 9 instead of an iPhone. He therefore used to be exempted from this annoying practice, but... not anymore! So by buying StickerGIF, you are not just contributing to indie Mac app development, and my college fund — you are also taking a righteous stand for equality, fairness, and... dad-text justice. 😈
